The Money Management Fund Manager of the Year Awards have been running for 32 years and are a hallmark for excellence in the Australian funds management industry. This year’s awards were live streamed due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), but this did nothing to dampen the excitement of those hoping to be recognised as the best of the best in the funds management industry.
This year Money Management adopted a new approach for their judging methodology of the awards. The judging consisted of three main stages (quantitative screening, qualitative evaluation and result collation), combining FE fundinfo's quantitative fund performance data over one and three years, with the expertise of their recognised research partners, Lonsec, Mercer, SQM Research and IOOF as an industry partner. The award partners had the flexibility to use their in-house methodologies and unique skills help to determine the final outcomes. It is important to note that IOOF was excluded from judging in the fund categories that included our own funds.
With the IOOF Investment Team now expanded following the integration of the ANZ Pensions & Investments business, it has been fantastic to see how quickly and naturally collaboration has evolved. The team remain committed to fulfilling our purpose to help your clients secure their financial future by delivering strong investment outcomes through building well-diversified, risk-controlled portfolios, utilising a wide range of value-adding strategies.
